When did you last tell someone the truth about how you’re doing?
Unscripted Human is a podcast about the answer most people never give.
Nothing has been released yet. This is the ground floor, and you can stand on it early.
Why this exists
We all got very good at looking fine.
Everything is a highlight reel now. The caption is edited, the photo is picked from forty, and the answer to “how are you” is “good, busy” whether it’s true or not.
Even the podcasts are performances: a clean arc, a lesson at the end, a sponsor read where the hard part should be. Nobody’s lying exactly. They’re just not saying the real thing.
Why me
I started this at 55, at the lowest point of my life.
I’m not going to pretend that’s behind me or dress it up as a comeback story. It isn’t finished. What I learned is that the version of things people say out loud and the version they carry around are almost never the same. The gap between them is where everyone is quietly struggling alone.
I couldn’t find the conversation I needed. So I’m recording it.

The kind of questions
These are the questions I actually want to ask.
Not a teaser. This is the real list.
- What’s the thing you’ve never said out loud to anyone?
- What did you lose that you’re still not over?
- Who did you have to stop being to get here?
- What are you pretending not to know?
- When did you last change your mind about something that mattered?
- What would you do if nobody would ever find out?
What you actually get
Four things. That’s the whole list.
Written as of today, not as of some imagined future.
01
Episodes before they’re public
Each conversation reaches the list a few days ahead of the feed.
02
What it took to make them
The cuts, the questions that failed, the ones we couldn’t run. Honest production notes.
03
Conversations, not comments
A small community space. It opens when there are enough people in it to be worth opening.
04
Invitations to the room
Live recordings and listening nights, once there’s something to gather around.

Your turn
What should the first conversation be about?
No episodes are locked. If something belongs in season one, say it here. This is read before anything gets booked. Rather be in an episode than suggest one? Apply to be a guest.
Season one is happening either way. If you want to back something honest early, before there’s an audience number to point at, let’s talk.
