What happens to your details.

Short version: as little as possible. One email address if you ask for the launch email, and whatever you type into a form if you use one. No tracking, no cookies, nothing sold.

What this site collects

If you join the list: your email address, and nothing else. It’s held by Kit, the service that will send the launch email.

If you send a suggestion: whatever you write in the box, plus your email address only if you chose to add it. That field is optional and the form works without it.

If you use the contact form: your name, your email address, and your message. Both forms are delivered to my inbox by Web3Forms.

If you apply to be a guest: your name, your email address, where you’re based, whatever you write about the conversation you want to have, and a link to your work if you choose to add one. Delivered to my inbox by Web3Forms, same as the other forms.

What it doesn’t collect

No advertising. No tracking pixels. No profile of you built up over time. Nothing that follows you to other websites. This site sets no cookies.

One exception, and I’d rather name it than have you find it. My host, Cloudflare, counts page views. It loads a small script that records that a page was opened, roughly which country from, and what kind of browser: no cookies, nothing that identifies you, and no way to see where you go afterwards. It tells me whether anyone is reading. That is the only thing on this site that talks to anyone else: no fonts from Google, no embedded players, no social buttons, no comment widgets.

The other unavoidable exception is hosting itself. Whoever serves a website keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, and may set essential cookies for security. That happens for every site on the internet and isn’t something I switch on or read.

What I do with it

The list gets one email when episode one lands. After that, only what you’d expect from a podcast newsletter, and never more often than I’d want to receive myself.

Suggestions get read. If yours ends up shaping an episode, I’ll ask before quoting you or using your name.

What I don’t do with it

Sell it. Rent it. Hand it to advertisers. Add you to anything you didn’t ask to be added to.

Getting out

Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works immediately. If you’d rather your details were deleted outright, email chris@unscriptedhuman.live and I’ll do it. You don’t have to give a reason.

If this changes

The date below changes with it. Anything significant and I’ll say so in an email rather than quietly editing this page.
